Construction-equipment synthetic dataset (COCO + Parquet) — $9 sample available

Excited to share the first dataset from **Synthetic M2M** — a series of niche-vertical synthetic ML training datasets.

We’re targeting verticals that are underrepresented on Roboflow Universe — construction, medical devices, HVAC, industrial machinery, retail products — at price points that work for solo ML engineers and small teams.

**Construction Equipment Sample:**

- 10 high-resolution images with COCO bounding-box annotations, captions, and category tags

- Includes HF Parquet shard for one-line `datasets.load_dataset(…)` loading

- $9 sample to evaluate annotation quality: https://buy.stripe.com/cNieVd9K38vz5wX6AzaAw00

- Full 250-image pack at $99 dropping later this week

What other niches would you want to see? Happy to take requests.

This is the right way to solve the trust problem. Every dataset sale stalls on the same question: the buyer cannot trust quality without seeing enough, and you cannot prove quality without exposing too much. A cheap sample tier answers it directly.

Two suggestions from watching sellers try this:

Make the sample representative, not your best 10. Buyers who find the sample is better than the full pack feel burned and say so publicly. One honest slice beats ten perfect rows.

Credit the $9 toward the $99. It turns the sample from a sunk cost into a deposit, and it removes the last bit of friction for a buyer who is already convinced.

Also worth thinking about: fixed, public pricing is a feature. Most dataset sellers negotiate every deal in DMs and leave money on the table. A price on the door builds trust before the first message.

Which niche is next? HVAC sounds underserved.
