π Al-Rasheed AI β An Islamic AI Reference Model
An AI project built with the Muslim community in mind, focused on Islamic knowledge, Quranic references, and accessible offline assistance.
Al-Rasheed AI is a fine-tuned GGUF language model developed to help Muslims explore Islamic knowledge, understand basic Islamic rulings, and find guidance related to the Quran and Islamic teachings. It is designed to make Islamic information more accessible while respecting Muslim beliefs and emphasizing the importance of authentic Islamic sources.
Our vision is to make AI-powered Islamic assistance accessible to everyone, including people who prefer privacy-friendly, fully offline tools.
Our mission: To make Islamic knowledge more accessible through technology, while encouraging people to seek authentic knowledge, verify references, and consult qualified Islamic scholars whenever necessary.
β¨ Key Features
- π Islam-focused AI: Designed specifically around Islamic knowledge, Muslim beliefs, and questions about religious practice.
- π Quranic and Islamic references: Intended to assist with questions concerning the Quran, Islamic teachings, and religious guidance.
- βοΈ Islamic rulings assistance: Can help users explore basic rulings and some more advanced questions, with appropriate caution.
- π» GGUF format: Available in GGUF format for compatible local inference software.
- π Offline AI experience: Integrated into the Al-Rasheed Islamic App, where the AI chat operates locally without requiring a cloud AI service, subject to the app's implementation and model availability.
- π± Part of a wider Islamic project: Works alongside other offline Islamic features in the Al-Rasheed Islamic App.
- π Ongoing development: The current model is part of a larger project, with improvements and a separate future model planned.
- π Offline AI experience: Offline recitation Ai model which operates locally, listening The users recitation and giving the feedback interms of correct or wrong pronunciation
π± The Al-Rasheed Islamic App
Al-Rasheed AI has been integrated into the Al-Rasheed Islamic App, an Islamic application designed around an offline-first experience.
The app brings together Islamic features intended to work without an internet connection, including AI-powered chat and a recitation model, alongside other Islamic resources.
Download the app

Visit the website for app downloads and project updates. The app is also intended to help users stay informed about future releases.
π€ Model Information
| Property | Details |
|---|---|
| Model name | Al-Rasheed AI |
| Model format | GGUF |
| Model type | Fine-tuned language model |
| Primary focus | Islamic knowledge and Quranic references |
| Intended audience | Muslims and people seeking information about Islam |
| Intended use | Islamic reference, educational assistance, and general religious questions |
| Deployment | Local inference with compatible software |
| App integration | Al-Rasheed Islamic App |
| Development status | Ongoing |
Important: Al-Rasheed AI is a fine-tuned version of an existing AI model. It is not the same as the separate model currently being developed for a future release.
π What Can Al-Rasheed AI Help With?
The model is intended to assist with questions such as:
- Understanding basic Islamic concepts and terminology.
- Exploring the meanings and teachings of Quranic passages.
- Learning about Islamic practices and everyday religious questions.
- Getting introductory information about Islamic rulings.
- Exploring more advanced religious questions as a starting point for further research.
- Identifying topics that may require consultation with qualified scholars and reliable Islamic references.
The quality and accuracy of responses can vary. Users should independently verify Quranic quotations, Hadith references, scholarly opinions, and religious rulings before relying on them.
π¬ Islamic LLU Evaluation
We plan to release Islamic LLU evaluation results for the current model, followed by results for the upcoming model after its release.
These evaluations are intended to help assess the model's performance on Islamic knowledge and related questions.
Evaluation results, when published, should be considered evidence of performance on the tested questions rather than proof of complete religious accuracy. The methodology, dataset, scoring criteria, and limitations should be reviewed alongside the results.
More information will be shared as the evaluation work progresses.
π What's Next? A New AI Model
A separate AI model is currently in development and is planned for a future release.
Unlike the current fine-tuned model, the upcoming model is intended to be developed from scratch. Our goal is to make it more capable in its intended tasks, potentially with fewer parameters than the current model.
The new model is expected to focus on improving Islamic knowledge assistance and overall response quality. These are development goals, not yet verified performance claims.
But Before it's massive release anothe finetuned ai would soon be released made to run on small laptops or pc's.
Release timing is still subject to change. Please follow the official project website for confirmed announcements.
π Privacy and Offline Use
One of the central goals of the Al-Rasheed project is to make Islamic tools accessible without depending on cloud-based AI services.
When the model is run locally using compatible software, inference can take place on the user's own device. The Al-Rasheed Islamic App is designed around this offline-first approach.
Actual offline functionality, device compatibility, and resource requirements depend on the application version, the selected model, and the device being used.
β οΈ Important Religious and AI Disclaimer
Al-Rasheed AI is an experimental AI reference tool, not a qualified Islamic scholar, mufti, or religious authority.
Although it is designed to assist with Islamic knowledge, it can generate inaccurate information, misquote sources, misunderstand questions, or provide incorrect religious rulings.
Please keep the following principles in mind:
- Verify religious information. Check Quranic verses, Hadith, and scholarly references against authentic and reliable sources.
- Consult qualified scholars. For personal circumstances, complex issues, differences of scholarly opinion, or important religious decisions, seek guidance from a qualified and trusted Islamic scholar.
- Do not treat AI output as a fatwa. The model cannot replace qualified scholarly judgment or the traditional methods of Islamic scholarship.
- Do not assume every answer is authentic. A confident-sounding response is not necessarily correct.
- Use your own judgment responsibly. The model is intended to support learning and research, not replace authentic sources of Islamic knowledge.
Our goal is to improve the model over time, acknowledge its limitations, and encourage responsible use within the Islamic community.
π¬ Feedback and Reporting
Your feedback can help improve Al-Rasheed AI and its future versions.
If you encounter an incorrect Islamic answer, a questionable reference, a technical problem, or possible misuse, please report it.
π§ Contact: mkaramrashid2012@gmail.com
When reporting an issue, please include the model version, the question asked, the response received, and any reliable reference that helps explain the problem. Avoid sharing private or sensitive personal information.
Constructive feedback is greatly appreciated.
π Our Vision
Al-Rasheed AI is an ongoing effort to explore how local AI technology can support access to Islamic knowledge.
We aim to develop tools that are more accessible, privacy-conscious, useful, and responsible for the Muslim community, while maintaining a clear distinction between AI-generated assistance and authentic Islamic scholarship.
We welcome feedback, testing, and thoughtful suggestions that can help make the project better.
May this project be a means of beneficial knowledge, responsible learning, and service to the Ummah.
